About the event

Indonesia Inventors Day is an international invention and innovation fair organised by INNOPA, the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association. It brings together inventors, student teams and research groups from a number of countries, who present their inventions to an international jury.

Judging is done by that jury rather than by public vote. Entries are assessed on what problem the invention addresses, how original the proposed solution is, how far it has been developed, and how clearly the inventor can explain and defend it. Medals — gold, silver and bronze — are awarded on the jury’s assessment, so several entries can hold the same medal level in a given category.

The result

This entry records a bronze medal at Indonesia Inventors Day 2023 for the energy loss monitoring system.

Why it matters

This was an international evaluation of the project rather than a domestic one. The jury had no prior context for the work, which meant the invention had to stand on its own description: the problem stated plainly, the method explained without assuming local knowledge, and the current state of development reported honestly. Preparing for that kind of review is a useful discipline — it forces a clear separation between what has actually been built and tested, and what remains an intention.

The related project entry describes the system itself in more detail.
